For anyone who has not seen any Turkish
cinema, Turkish Star Wars is
certainly the best barometer you can find.
Using actual footage from the original
Star Wars, the story is about
two space fighter pilots who are shot
down over a desert planet and discover
a colony of people who are being oppressed
by horse back riding mutant savages! It's
up to them to save the people from the
oppressive mutants! Combining life size
evil Muppets with a Flash Gordon like
bad guy; and stealing not only footage
and soundtrack from Star Wars,
but music from Indiana Jones
and others.
