Abe Adams, a mad scientist/college professor
creates a magical powder from a philosophers
stone called the Alpha Stone that carries
the power of turning anyone who comes
into contact with it into a sex crazed
monster! Delving into sub Cronenberg concepts
such as zombie sex control and mannequin
molesting, Curse of the Alpha Stone is
a classic example of the horror/sex genre
so many exploitation filmmakers attempted
in the early 70’s. Filled
with the kind of magic you only find in
the films of Ed Wood or Andy Milligan,
this monumental example of otherworldly
ineptness was made in 1972, but remained
unseen until 1985.
