Veruschka von Lehndorff, this film is a
shockingly surreal and downtrodden journey
through the rural countryside of Italy.
We follow Veruschka on a downward spiral
of self-discovery that leads her through
so many whacked out head trips, the viewer
may find it hard to keep up at times. Mixing
a heavily dark and sad narrative with some
of the most stunning psychedelic eye candy
you can find from the freak out era of filmmaking,
plus one of Ennio Morricone’s best
scores, Veruschka is a true one of kind
experience. Highly recommended
